About the Artist
Hello! My name is Alexia Escoto. I am 22 years old, and I come from a Hispanic background. I am also born and raised in Las Vegas. I am a self-taught artist and throughout my whole life, I have been creating many different forms of art. I graduated college from the University of Nevada - Reno in 2025 with a degree in digital media. With this degree, I have pushed the limits of my personal art and the different forms that I can create art in. I have been doing so by exploring how I can integrate what I have learned through digital media with my traditional paint of canvas.
Since graduating, I have been fueled with a burning passion to share my value of art with the world. I am inspired by everything around me, from overlooked details, inner thoughts, everyday objects, or the energy of living beings. I create whatever I feel is right in the moment, and I only hope to reach someone, somewhere at any time in their life. I do this by ensuring that my creativity, thoughts, emotions are conveyed through the art that I create.

My Goal
As an artist, my journey has been deeply rooted in traditional painting, particularly oil and acrylics. I grew up with a paintbrush in my hand, learning to express my thoughts and emotions on canvas by blending color and texture in ways that felt natural and immediate. These foundational practices are essential to my artistic identity, and I continue to find joy and authenticity in the tactile experience of painting.
However, over time, my curiosity led me to explore the expanding world of digital media, particularly 3D modeling. The intersection of the traditional and the digital feels like an exciting, natural evolution in my work. I believe that the traditional techniques of painting can coexist with the dynamic possibilities offered by digital tools, creating a unique space where both methods inform and challenge each other. The physicality of traditional painting will always remain a passion of mine, while the digital world opens new doors for exploration, experimentation, and imagination.
In my recent work, I strive to connect these two seemingly separate worlds. I blend hand-painted textures and brushwork with digital elements, such as 3D modeling, to create hybrid pieces that offer a sense of depth and motion. The result is a dialogue between the organic, imperfect qualities of paint and the clean, precise nature of digital construction. Each medium brings its own set of possibilities, and I love how they interact, creating visual tension and harmony.
My goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of this fusion, allowing both practices to coexist and inform one another in new and exciting ways. Through this blending, I hope to continue to craft art that honors the history of traditional painting while embracing the future of digital creation.
I hope that as I focus on this goal of mine, I will be an artist that can expand people's understanding of what art can truly be in today's world.
